Our founder, Cassandra Marie, invested years of experience in the industry before opening the doors to Berkeley Hair in 2022- named after Cassandra's dog, Berkeley. Cassandra trained to become a Blonde Specialist immediately after getting her license and continues to educate fellow stylists.
Cassandra believes that every client should be treated as dearly as a close friend and ensures that everyone who walks out of Berkeley Hair feels relaxed, recharged, and revamped!
As a small business owner at such a young age, Cassandra has always put clients and stylists physical and mental wellbeing ahead of everything else. This is why Cassandra created a book club, named Berkeley's Book Club, in the summer of 2023. Creating a community of like-minded, professional women has been both an outlet and safe space for all. Berkeley's Book Club now has 50+ members and is always growing.

I cannot recommend Cassandra enough!! 5 out of 5 stars does not do her justice. I have extremely thick blonde hair and she is so patient and thorough with my highlights...even though it probably takes longer than most other appointments. I had told her about my recent wedding and my hair goals about 2 years in advance and she got me on an amazing schedule of cuts + highlights leading up my to big day that was 100% worth it! Sessions with Cass seem to go by so fast because she genuinely cares about her clients and their personal lives that it feels like chatting with an old friend for a few hours.
